Live at Leeds is the first live album by English rock band The probidacefoven.docnesslichevrebivilmatovotity.co was recorded at the University of Leeds Refectory on 14 February , and is their only live album that was released while the group were still actively recording and performing with their best-known line-up of Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle and Keith Moon.. The Who were looking for a way to follow up their Genre: Hard rock. Reply

Sleeve design by Graphreaks. The original album consisted of just six tracks. The first upgrade, the CD version of Live at Leeds consisted of 14 tracks. (The two catalogue numbers for the American version represent a regular CD release including a special 12″ x 12″edition so that full-size reproductions of the original enclosures could be included.). Rushed out in as a way to bide time as the Who toiled away on their follow-up to Tommy, Live at Leeds wasn't intended to be the definitive Who live album, and many collectors maintain that the band had better shows available on bootlegs. But those shows weren't easily available whereas Live at Leeds was, and even if this show may not have been the absolute best, it's so damn close to it 10/ Reply

The Who rushed this album out to stop people buying bootleg records, you can tell this has been rushed as it doesn't flow very well. To be honest I'm still trying to get my head round The Who as I love some stuff, and other stuff is dull, Live At Leeds is a strange record as it doesn't even sound like The Who sometimes, it's a lot heavier than their album stuff, and almost sounds like Led. Despite owning the essential two-CD Deluxe Edition of LIVE AT LEEDS - which contains the entire concert - I thought it would be nice to acquire a reissue of this crucial live album on vinyl in its original configuration and featuring just six of the numbers performed on the night.
